Description

One of the first things I did when I got to my sister's yesterday was fill a bowl with plumeria blossoms. My brother in law has what he calls his "plumeria farm", and are they beautiful!! This is right out of the camera, I set the bowl on a black pillow and that was that.

Which is easier? Finding a black background against which to shoot, or doing postwork later? :) Dang ... now you'll have to start traveling with a length of black fabric.

Fantastic shot of these beautiful flowers Marilyn, I bought one black and one white card from a place that does artists materials, they are A3 in size and I use them for my backgrounds as and when needed. Not as soft as a pillow though. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Ah yes, the fan blade flower, depicted here in all its colorful glory! The color variety, clarity and light/shadow effects are simply superlative in this portrait, Marilyn! But where did you ever come up with a black pillow?
