This is the cover for the upcoming graphic novel series I'm working on: The Freelancers. The series will follow the adventures of the crew of the tramp freighter "Hard Bargain", who work as an armored courier service carrying very valuable and sensitive cargo for a variety of clients. They work a frontier-like region of space known as the Free Colonies, who have gained their independence from the core worlds of humanity, The Terra Protectorate. The captain, Shiva Reece, is a former military special forces empath trying to start a new life and forget some of the things she saw and did. However, even on the ragged edge of civilization, light years from the front lines, her past will catch up with her and her crew. Meanwhile, she and her crew will become the lynchpin in a choice facing all of humanity, one that every species eventually has to confront: Evolve or become extinct. I'm working on the first issue right now, and I'll give the comic it's own site, which I will post here.
