Description
When I found these fungi in the grass by the sidewalk the first thing that came to mind was pancakes:-) Thus the title...I searched more than 60 pages on google but never found any fungi that was identical so type is unknown. Please zoom!

A great find and an excellent pic! Without research I think they could be in the Russula family, which could give you a starting point.
