Description

We went out on our back deck tonight and discovered the arrival of a new roommate, of sorts. This spider had his/her web anchored directly to our chairs, so of course sitting there for the time being was completely out of the question. A good sized spider it was, with a massive net as well. Leah says it's an Orb weaver spider. Whatever. We'll keep a respectable distance for tonight, but by tomorrow we may have to move it safely off into the bushes so we can reclaim our deck! marshall

Lol, I salute your reverence for nature, and your patience. I am tolerant towards relocating them as well. They reward me by eating a lot of mosquitoes, and other nasty bugs. Great macro!

I thought it was crab legs from the thumb, great capture and I don't think I'd go out there for a long, long time...
