I am Native American (Blackfeet, Cree, Choctaw and Cherokee). I've been an amateur photographer since I was 10 when my dad bought me my first camera, a German Zeiss Ikon 35mm. I take pictures of pretty much anything and everything that catches my eye. I don't use any high end photo editing software. I use Picasa and occasionally web based photo editing sites. I do the best I can with what I have. I usually just let my photos speak for themselves. I ride motorcycles with my soulmate of over 40 years and take pictures "on the fly" from the passenger seat. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of Renderosity.

You have brought Tears to my eyes. When I read of the Grandmother who walked until her feet fell off from gangrene, then still hobbled along only to lay down in the snow to die, I weep from my heart. 'The Trail Of Tears', Gloria Jahoda, I recommend this book to anyone who chooses to learn Truth.

I have listened to the stories of the elders and read the books written. My heart breaks. This was bad but just as bad (and less talked about) was the treatment of the Blackfoot as well. It is fitting that the sky wept on this day for you.

This is excellent. My grandfather told these stories about his ancestors and the trail. Being part Cherokee, I find this very touching. Thanks for sharing this.
