Great photo. I like the way the stones add color and make the buildings more interesting and also your composition, using the hillside to limit the amount of sky in frame.

What a fascinating place! I was captivated by your photograph, and did some research on the net. Way cool stuff ... thanks for sending me off on a search! Apparently there are three rooms in this house, none connected on the inside. Each room has a basement, also not connected to each other. The only way into each of the rooms is through an outside door. Huh. Such interesting things out there!

What a fascinating building. I love seeing old structures like these. It always makes me wonderful about the people that used live in places like these. Beautiful shot!

I'm with Jock! I'd live there in a heartbeat and to think I could have my own room and basement and not share with anyone else! Now that had to be built by someone who enjoyed their own company. Outstanding shot and interesting find.

I once wanted to live in an abandonned mine shaft and was working out the insolation by mirrors. Even though I realized that no heat would enter that way.

Thank you very much for sharing this. Fascinating design and the way it was built and even more so with Auntie sharing her research about this house. A Condo or perhaps Townhouse would be a better description. There is an interesting story here.
