Description

Late September....I can feel a chill in the air in the evenings that grow longer with each passing day. The swallows have gone now. The geese still fly overhead for the time being, but soon they will be off to a warmer place. As I was driving through Cannock Chase Forest over the weekend, I noticed how all the trees have just started to change colour - only slightly in some, others, the leaves are already a vivid red. How I love this time of year :-) ---------------- My Water Pack and Autumn Collection, mixed with other trees from Cornucopia Thanx 4 peekin'

Everything looks great here, love the colours, the atmo & chilly mood. The trees are excellent too. Only this duck going under the water looks a bit odd...

A wonderful composition and render, Gill. It is quite painterly, in its way. It reminds me of some of the work by Helga ( Stolta ). It makes my Desktop background look classy. We have quite a few fallen leaves, and branches (!) up here. I've already started on my autumnal renders, after checking that my CORNUCOPIA3D account could stand it. Enjoy autumn where you are. The scientists sent more Scots into SAD last week ( or was it the pubs? ;o) ), by confirming that Glasgow gets the same amount of sunshine ( i.e. not a lot ) as some parts of Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. Autumn seems to last all year, especially after the last two gloomy months. If only it was as colourful as the American Fall. Keep up the good work, my friend. Your MATs, Ecosystems and Atmospheres encourage us all to create and experiment in VUE. Warm regards from a dark Glasgow, John.

Yes, in Kansas, fall doesn't really come into its own until after October, but even so, already a few trees are starting to turn a bit. Our fall, is usually a more "earthy" muted one compared to the Northeastern United States, but it is still very beautiful with its russests and rusts, etc. In late October early November only the Cottonwoods remain and they ARE a brilliant golden yellow. I do miss the Maples with their reds oranges and yellows from my boyhood in Michigan, though. Love your image, Gill.
