Description

This is a summary of a beginning story to give you the feel of the atmosphere.... after this brief summary here, the actual story will take place in letter writing form... I ask that anyone who would like to reply to these letters as the character "Chase" do so...The idea of this answering the letters was introduced to me by a dear friend here at Renderosity named vaggabondd, real name Randy. If you haven't seen Randy's gallery, please do stop by for some great photo shots, stories and poetry. Ok, here's the summary of the story "The Letters" which I will begin posting tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Summary........... Rachel had been away from her home town in Washington State a little over a week and was already missing her fiancee Chase. She had to leave to help her sister Ava, who was pregnant and having problems with her pregnancy, confined to bed for the duration of her pregnancy, a whole 3 months. Rachel had no idea how she would ever get through those months without Chase, the love of her life. Ava lived in a remote area of Kentucky back in the hollers with her husband Clay who didn't believe in modern day conveniences. No phone, no indoor plumbing, no electric, everything Rachel was so used to. She grew accustomed to living by candle light as the evening came, even going out to the outhouse to relieve herself and cooking on a wood stove, but having no phone was so hard because she longed to hear Chase's voice. Relying on letters was the only thing she would have for the next three months. Her days were filled with caring for Ava and cooking meals, keeping the cabin cleaned, washing clothes in the huge scrub bucket out back then hanging them on the line to dry. She felt like Laura Ingalls from the book Little House published way back in 1935. How could Ava have fallen in love with such a primitive man such as Clay? She often asked herself that question. Her nights were her own for the most part as Clay was done with his chores and could tend to Ava. It was her nights she looked forward to. It was her time to write to Chase, pouring her love for him out on paper. She wrote to him faithfully, always watching the mail for his returned letters. ~~~~~~~~~~~TO BE CONTINUED~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
