Description

Yesterday after I rode to the beach, I parked my bike and walked all the way out to the end of the Huntington Beach Pier. As I made my way around, I looked down and there was a school of dolphins just below me. Of course, I grabbed my camera and starting shooting. They were crafty little creatures, and hard to track. This was the best shot I got, one looks like a shark and the other was just blowing off steam!! Course the minute I put my camera away, they went into their routine, leaping out of the water and putting on quite a show. I'll catch em yet!!

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster then lightning.... A little "Jaws" theme music please. Everybody out of the water! But you can't do that, this is the tourist season! Lovely blue ocean waves and ripples in this capture, Marilyn!

You know, I spent a lot of time at Huntington Beach in my teenaged years, and I remember very clearly being on the pier one evening when a guy caught a shark, which proceeded to give birth on the pier after he landed it. I hope you weren't out there too deep! Great shot, BTW!

I once paid to go out on a boat to see dolphins and seals, we saw one seal about half a mile away and two fish, there was plenty of seaweed though. Excellent capture Marilyn and aint it just like them to wait until you put your camera down and then start doing their thing. This is still better than nothing at all though. Bravo!!!!! Maybe next time.
