Description

Late afternoon, the sky gets a way darker than dazzling surface and the heat is off. A good time. The memories of the time on the Black Sea coast are still fresh but at times it feels like it was in my previous life. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my previous works. You are too kind. Nikolay

Sir Nikolay, the camera was invented for you. This simple conception is photography at its best & most elemental. Another haiku, except it's cosmic. 3 basic layers, dark, light & saturated gray; and you've made a beautiful poem. The ground layer is actually quite complex; again, your grays are multi-dimensional, and you know how to coax inner life out of them. The white (reflected water) is the perfect mid-layer; and your sky, a full saturated gray whose flatness makes this a real work of art. (That is, you don't make any attempt to keep the 3 dimensionality: That gray comes right back at us.) It also harmonizes with the ground...And of course, the plant cutting through all 3 layers, just basic good photography...Well I can gush, but you do wonderful work. Your contained 'simple' conceptions are a joy, and they're really quite complex in the end...
