My Mum used to go here when they lived in Leeds and she used to tell me tales of lots of fun. I s'pose she would have been in her 20's, and from her pics and yours it doesn't look as if it's changed a lot! Is that people in the water? Brr! A very interesting shot!

I realised where it was after I had made the comment Mick, I went on multimaps to check it out, I didn't find any information about your diver though. I used to go here quite often when I lived in Sheffield. Excellent capture especially on a boat, even a tripod is not much use on one of those. Bravo!!!!!

What a great shot! We've nothing remotely like this here. Oh, town/beach/shore, of course, but it's totally different! Fascinating view. Thanks for posting this!

I went there when I was visiting in Sheffield a few years back; it had a strong feel of the past about it, colorful and a little bit seedy in a touristy way. Had to buy candy, they had lots of really old-fashioned ones for sale, and then we had ice cream in a little ice cream parlor. And they had ponies on the beach giving rides to children. Beautiful capture of this little time warp!

There could not be any other place like this. Your shot really has the poetic scent to it...I love the composition and it takes in all the action, highlighting it all at the same time. What a fabulous shot.

Its a grand shot Mick! It shows the beautiful weather you had that day because the beach is so busy and I love how quaint it is! Simon & Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair keeps running through my mind:-)and images from Dickens books!
