Description

this is from a collection in the museum located in the Bank of the Chickasaw Nation which in turn is in Tishomingo Oklahoma. I will post the inside of the bank soon. it is a beautiful place to visit and along with the Chickasaw Capitol building, both in Tishomingo I was sick all day yesterday with a blasted sinus infection and stayed in bed. I woke up just a little while ago.I will go to the doctor later this morning.at least I feel better right now thanks for viewing and any comments

Looks a bit broken into. I have been in the Indian Treaty room in the Old Executive Office Building in Washington, DC where the vice president's office used to be. Promises! Promises! Got Milk!

Oh I remember turning the dial too well 3 to the right 2 left and back right....I forget the letter values as ours were A-J not numeric . The boxes were numbered and luckily ours was not too high for me to reach growing up. Excellent find!

Super cool Richard as I love historical items like this and bet I'd love the bank for sure. Oklahoma has a lot of historical items very well preserved, more so than my own state of Missouri. Get well soon Richard, I know this time of year is tough to shake a sinus infection

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I hope the doctor gives you some good medicine to blast away that sinus infection. I feel for you. I've had an ear problem for a week now - can't get my ear to stop ringing. Sigh. Anyway, a really interesting photo. It's a great view of the past. Love the old style wood look to those old P.O. boxes - so different from today's steel ones.

We still have some old mailboxes here in town. Everything that was created back then had it's own beauty.
