Description

This is the less attractive and scenic side of my Island. This land has been reclaimed from the sea and has far too much going on it kinda gives you a headache. The "upturned" boat is a cafe and the terracotta building to the right is the new 4 star Radisson charging over £200 a night for a room. The gardens have been landscaped and is a lovely place to walk if you don't look around you. So much work is going on. In the photo the "wheel" was brought here from the UK before the summer and has gone down like a "lead balloon" as very few people have taken advantage of using it at £7 per person per ride. You can see more if you go to a multi-storey car park above the harbour. I have shown the gorgeous and also historical side of Jersey so thought the industrial side and massive building works should also be uploaded. Thank you for your views and comments

It's a shame really: but I suppose it'll all settle down in the end and look normal!

I love Jersy, but not this building site part!!! I'm sure when they have finished it will be ok though :)Fort Regent leisure center was a mess when they started the building work, but that turned out alright in the end. (well it looked fine the last time I was there) Wow!!! That's 22years ago!!!!!! I realy must visit again:) Super photo Susan:)

You may not be happy with the sights, but you are documenting the 'other side' of your island. I think this is a fantastic shot, expensive ferries wheel and all!
