Description

The Rose of YORK MINSTER. Please Zoom ! After William the Conqueror's 'Harrying of the North' brought a small wooden church here to virtual distruction, The Norman archbishop, Thomas of Bayeaux built his great Cathedral here between 1080 and 1110. This was modified and extended in the mid Twelth century by Archbishop Roger de Pont L'Eveque, who built a magnificent new quire. Have a great Sunday.

Oh my word, that is beautiful!!! Did you get a shot from the inside? I'll bet it's a stunning view, as is this from the outside.

Great catch, Alan! Thanks for sharing! Did I understand right? They want 9.50 L for the entry of the church, as Jeff told? That`s robbery!
