Description

Another shot from my visit to York last Friday Sept 26 2008. I was with a party of people from our Art & Craft Club (where me & JeffG7BRJ have introduced photography) Took a day trip to York and I didn't take too many pictures because it wasn't a photo trip as such. I've been to the Historic Roman City of York many times yet have never been inside the Minster. Funny how we dont do the things on our own doorstep ! this time we went in but to take photos you needed more time than we had and I wished I had taken a tripod. I keep managing to get an upload on but I have been visiting family and friends recently so I have fallen behind with comments ! hope to catch up. Enjoy your day!......Alan Thanks for all views and to those who like to comment.

what a superb shot of an equally superb building!!! It amazes me how these craftsmen built these wonderful edifices all those many centuries ago with the tools and the knowledge they had. Fantastic clarity and lighting with a magnificent sense of depth and height!

Clever how you got a pic with no people in the nave! When I was there you couldn't hear yourself think for the noise, and there wasn't a square metre without a person! A superb shot, Alan!

Excellent capture Alan, especially so as it was hand held, great depth and hight in the image, a place I have not visited myself. I must see about rectifying that sometime, I don't think it will be this year though. I was glad to hear you all had a good time though, I was going to suggest we had another visit to Queens Park on Friday, no worry another time will do, I can't see the Dragonflies being there much longer though. Superb work in the Cathedral, as Andrea said you were extremely lucky to have so few people in the nave area. Bravo!!!!!
