Description

Hi all :o) OK, I'm no photographer (surprise surprise) but just couldn't resist showing you all this little cutie He's gone to the wildlife rehabilitator now, though, and we miss him so much !!!!.....but it's for the best, because raising a baby squirrel to be released back into the wild is not for the faint of heart (a lot of work)....but we enjoyed the little shaver for a few days at least And how did we happen to acquire a baby squirrel you ask :o) .....one of the neigborhood cats "found" him and brought him to the door....finally I was able to get him away from the cat and luckily she didn't injure him at all, which amazed the heck outta me....I think she might have wanted to mother him, actually....cats are so strange and unpredictable anyway....duh LOL Hope y'all enjoy this little foray into the "awww how cute" and have a great Sunday *S* ~ Love & Hugs ~ * Mina *

so stunning to see a photo! Yeah, it's an "awww how cute" moment, but a real one, and thank you for sharing it with everyone. Amazing the infant survived the cat, but as you say cats can be unpredictable. (Maybe the two knew each other in a past life, and the cat owed the squirrel a favor...) Nice image for the fall, because fall brings increasing cold and is hard for all creatures—you captured someone who'd been saved! Nice upload. Thanks for sharing it!

He is so cute and you have presented him beautifully to the world. Wonderful that you were able to save him from the cat. I love how he curls his tail. We haven't got squirrels here so they are unusual for me.

That's great, we have a baby squirrel right now, we took her to the rehab lady but she didn't have any her age so we are raising her until she can get her in with the family group. They are fun to say the least

Our cat brought a baby bunny home once, but sadly not the same happy ending, I tried to nurse it back to health but it was to late. Sweet collage you made of this little guy!

Aww... I've raised three myself, the last one didn't make it and only survived with us about three weeks. That was back in August. Anyway, they're extremely smart creatures and make surprisingly good pets. Kids love them, lol. This one looks very healthy and is at a decent enough age too (unlike my last, who was still pink when we found him). Cute little thing. He'll be just fine. =)

What a precious shot of this precious little creature~! Bravo to you for saving him and glad that he is safe now with rahabilitators. I saw centers feeding baby squirrels on the news, saved after hurricane Ike. Glad someone cares for the small creatures around us.
