Funny you should mention the sand castles with bucket and spade... (you just knew a story was coming, didn't you?)About a year ago, I was sitting on a sandy beach with a small pail and plastic cup. I remembered making sand castles in my sandbox as a child. How difficult is it to stuff a pale with sand and tump it over to make a castle? I guess more difficult than I remembered because whether it was damp sand or wet sand or any sand at all, when I lifted the bucket, it totally crumbled leaving a blob with debris beneath it. LOL Great shot of this sand artist at work. I do think its one of those art forms that is often underappreciated.

I'm with PJ, I remember sitting on the beach for hours making what we called "drip castles". You made a mound, then too wet sand and dripped it all over it, took hours and I'd get lost in it. These people take it to a whole other level that's just awesome!!

Wonderful! But if I'm going to go to all of that work and trouble, the thing better last. I'll do mine in cement, or something more permanent! ;c) lol!
