Description

Morning all :o) Of all the pics I took at Scarborough ,this is the one I like the most .This came out exactly as I saw it showing a calmer side to a busy seaside town ,away from the chips in trays and ice creams :o).. Thanks for looking and take care Mick I`ve just noticed the dark corners .It must be from the lens shade I had on

I agree with Diane Mick it is quite similar to Whitby from this pov. This is an ideal place to use that new gizmo I have aquired. The windfarm wasn't an ideal spot, there was too much meadow in the foreground. Slight vignetting in the corners as you say may be down to the lens hood. I get it sometimes when using filters, or with the tele converters not at full extension on the zoom. I usually crop mine out but not always as can be seen on my recent upload this is what I am. Still an excellent capture, I aways rate Scarborough as an adult place as opposed to a kids place, not as much ammusment for them. Although a good time can be had by all the family, without the need of a funfair. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent image Mick and this is one of those places it looks like everyone would want to be on a sunny day like this to walk to the docks and take it all in.

I simply love the old world feel of England's small villages, towns and countryside. New isn't always better:-) I would much prefer this to where I live, concrete jungle! Thanks so much for sharing your part of the world Mick, its a great shot!

I think the tiny vignettes at the corners are pretty neat, great coloures here mate, this would make a cool HDR.

the marina is awesome Mick. I always enjoy areas like this also the tallest sailing ship in the world entered San Francisco bay and they had to wait for low tide to pass under the Golden Gate Bridge.the masts are controlled by computer and the other sailing yacht in the area looked like toys against the mother of all sailing ships

Lovely! I haven't been to Scarborough (or its fair) for years and this shot sure makes me smile. I particularly like the soft but busy wisps of movement in the sky. It looks as if the birds are enjoying those thermals, too!
