Pensacola Sunrise by lil_sizzler

Photo taken yesterday on Santa Rosa Island. The sun is reflected twice. Once in the Gulf of Mexico and again in a temporary pond on the beach perhaps by the winds and currents of Hurricane Ike a couple of weeks ago? Perhaps it was wishing thinking on our part, (afterall who else would be crazy enough to trade sleepin in on a Sunday morning) but Marshall a.k.a Phrankpower and I were quite suprised to see these fishermen out on the water so early in the morning. I might have cursed at one of them just minutes earlier. I recognize one of the boats. It was in the back of a slow moving truck on the winding road infront of us as we were racing to get to the beach before the sun came up. Ooops, sorry! What can I say....I'm just not a morning person! Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great day!

It takes a second look to figure this one out. Amazing how the men in the boats can be seen from that far away. And the birds flying around them too. The water in the foreground is so smooth it almost looks like a matt. If I hadn't been there myself I'd be thinking Photoshop, but I know better!

Caught in the split second when night and day meet, briefly, and part. Stunning.

Never underestimate the fisherman! ;'] Florida sunrises are among the best - super work.
