Description

Can you believe this is a picture of red hot molten lava oozing out through a crack at the base of an old volcanic mountain? The black/grey rock itself was once flowing magma. But that was millions of years ago. Now it looks like the volcano is active again. Pressure has been building up and lava is seeping out again! Pretty, but a bit scary for any one to be standing this close! The image in the photograph has not been altered. A slight contrast adjustment but that's about it. Actually, the photograph is not of volcanic lava at all. Can you guess what it really is? . . . . . .......flip the image upside down and you'll see that in reality, it is a shot of Pensacola Bay at sunset. The red on the water is reflection of the red sky. It's all in the way you look at things. I saw only waves and sky reflected. Marshall took one look at the shot and said "flip it". And so I did and saw what he saw....damn it's all in the eye. And he's got one helluva an eye! Thanks for stopping by. Make it a great day!

When I saw the thumb, I though Sharky had been up on the volcano again. I stood on my head, but it still looked like lava. When I physically flipped it back right-side up, Poof! Water. Awesome capture!

Cleaver with a touch of brilliance - the drive to not settle for the ordinary has turned into extraordinary work - Thank you for the pleasure !

Oh, well done! I looked a right fool turning my head upside down to see the water! Very clever and it does look like Sharky's lava.

Well I guess I have been around the seas/oceans too much. I saw waves and first wondered if fire coral could be that close to the surface. Intriguing story though!~
