Description
Again, I wish to thank flavia49 for sharing her beautiful photographs of Venice with me and allowing me to use them in some of my renders.
I spent the next morning just lounging around my room for the most part. Room service had sent up a wonderful breakfast. Later, while I was down wandering around the premises, the staff had cleaned my room and left a nice fruit basket on my writing table. Being an artist by profession, I was totally taken by the beauty of this city. I could hardly wait until Mr. Smith got back to show me some more of it. He ordered a quick meal for us from room service which we took in his suite. He asked me if there were any placed in particular I wished to see. I wasn't able to think of any and just said I would let him decide, since he had such a fine knowledge of our location. After lunch, we took our time just wandering up and down streets where we could, taking gondolas here and there as well. I remember particularly this one beautiful plaza and the magnificent architecture. Mr. Smith told me about it, but as he was speaking, my mind wasn't on the architecture. As I looked into his eyes, there was one sparklingly brief moment that I know I saw an inner glow light up in him. But as quickly as it showed up, it vanished, and Mr. Smith was back to maintaining a safe, but friendly distance between us. Oh well, for me, short though it was, it was a very magical moment for me! Whether Mr. Smith would ever admit it or not, in that one moment, his eyes spoke volumes to me. We spent one more night in our hotel and left early the next day for home. I couldn't thank Mr. Smith enough for his kindness in bringing me along. He seemed pleased with my appreciation and said he'd had a most enjoyable time as well. Even his business dealings had turned out better than he had anticipated, but he didn't go into any details, and I certainly didn't ask. Just good friends!
Note: Wednesday, October 1, 2008. I apologize to flavia49 if she takes offense with the background photo which she let me use in this scene. I extended the courtyard floor out so that I could work my characters into the scene better. It is what one might call, 'artistic license'? At any rate, sorry, flavia49. No harm intended.

Architecture? Um, say what? Ooooooooh ... the ARCHITECTURE! These guys are so beautiful, individually and together, and their adventures are beautiful, too! Can't wait to see what's next on Mr. Smith's agenda! ;^)

Great mix of picture and characters. I like the "common people" in the background and our heroes too!
