Description

this is the inside of the Chickasaw bank at TISHOMINGO,Oklahoma.as I said before it was robbed only once by a teller named Furley that disappeared to never be found with $40,000.00 when I walked into it I thought I was actually in Mapps and richardphotos old west bank in the RMP I decreased the light in post work to get a better feel for the time period I have some sad news that the mother duck has lost 3 babies and a lady told me she did have 10. maybe hawks or dogs some information on the Capitol building Chickasha Nan Apisa Aboa Chickasaw capitol construction began April 1898 on the Chickasaw Capitol building. it was built of red granite from the Pennington Creek Quarry.the granite blocks weighed 175 pounds a cubic foot and were pulled horses and mules completed in 7 months at the cost of $15,000.it has more than 8000 sq feet. in 1910 it was sold to county in 1910 for $7500.00. the tribal ownership was reestablished in 1992 for the cost $575,000.00 seems to me the Chickasaw tribe got screwed royally, but now with their casinos they are screwing the pale face thanks for viewing and any comments

I picked up the biography of Frank Phillips at Woolaroc. He married the banker's daughter to move from his role as town barber. Oklahoma has had interesting depositers.

You have the most interesting histories to tell. Once again, I enjoyed reading about the history of this bank. The coolest thing about this picture is all the cool stuff from the past. It's like going back in time. So sorry to hear about the poor little ducklings. What a shame.

Beautiful. A mother duck has many babies because they loose a lot. They say that a duck can't count, I hope so. But it's sad though. Thank you for the info.

Great idea for a unique photo. I'll have to keep my eye out for similar opportunities. This is what I like about RR...always gives you something to think about. Very nice. Bill
