Description
I took these yesterday at an area lake. I was able to walk right up the bird very slowly to within 20 feet.it was not as large as the one I seen last week, but getting so close was a surprise.
the pixelation was caused by reducing the pixels so I could keep the large size
I think it is a Heron, but the more I read about Egrets and Herons, the more confusing it seems

It's esasiest to distinguish in a pasture with cows. This big looks a bit tipsey. Once airbourne he shows his majesty.
