Hello all!!!
My 17 daughter Annie snuck my camera off to the beach recently. I didnt know about it 'till I was unloading my card for the recent kids b-day pictures this week. Most of the pics she shot that day took were not worth saving . Then I came to this one and just froze. Found myself sitting there staring at it thinking how special it was.. Then thought about it later. It kept coming back to me . I asked her if this pic was posed for she said "no, it just was what was happening with my two friends feet on the beach there -they didn't even know I took it Mom"
IT touched my heart for some reason .
SO I played with it today in PSP.
Thought I would share it with you today.
* just talked to one of the girls ( whose foot was in it )- she said her dear friend, (with the other foot in it) just this week moved away to collage , so she is going to send it to her as a friendship / I miss you card !

the actual shot is one of those wonderful moments all photographers are lucky to catch, and it's fun to know it was unintentional (from Annie's friends). But your postwork has brought out a lot, such as color dialogue, line dialogue (ie, in the lines of the blankets), the intense texture of the sand, the shadows on the legs, and of course the sky giving its 'comment' in that energy vortex where the two feet meet. Annie got a great shot to begin with; but she couldn't have had a better developer. (Yeah, I'm using the old analog term, but that's what postwork is sometimes: digital development.) You paid total respect to the shot by bringing it to its peak. Really nice work from both of you!
