Description

Hello all! Have been busy this week and have another busy weekend ahead but wanted to say hello with one I took off the pier in Santa Monica . This young girl ( wasn't one of my daughter's they were up on the pier with me ) she seemed so fearless as she stood in the wind facing the waves . I saw a face in the sea ( do you see it? ) I imagined her talking to the man in the sea and questioning her future there. so i wrote a little poem to go with it today. This relates to how I often times wonder what kind of future is ahead for my children and their children with global warming and environmental challenges ahead. so putting this up today ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fearless and silently she speaks to the sea and asks of what her future will be... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for all your time and comments will try and get caught up today ... love to you all!!! ((( BIG HUGS ))) ~ Kimmers !!! ♥ :O) psst ....my 11 year old daughter Chrissy loves photography and this site so much and now has a gallery here -i am so proud of her she is doing so great for her age!! (she has the eye- was my assistant on my last wedding shoot and took some of the best shots ) please check out her gallery here for those who haven't seen it ... http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=556439

Excellent capture. Make you wonder what she is thinking. And the old man in the sea is kind of a ghostly face.

Wonderful photo and poem! I think a closeup with the sea cropped a bit tighter might also make a wonderful composition. XOXO

Why not. You know our thoughts are not so incredible only that. A glance deepens returns times to us to a smoothness of the Future. Cheer my Beautiful. Beautiful and good work.

An young girl vis-a-vis the sea and with the waves of the ocean, that can make a good stereotype of the families… But to have at the same time, the photograph of a marine bird in foreground… that becomes an exploit… and with a few meters of it and our photographer, this stereotype transforms into Work of art! SPLENDID Kimarie framing, and beautiful gained occasion!!! SPLENDID to see MARVELLOUS!!!

Magnificent capture. Fearless? maybe an acceptance of the wonder that is the sea. I can hope for a moment she is to young to know true fear and have the capacity to be fearless. We tend to close our awareness as we grow. Perhaps a survival instinct but does it also blind us to the danger of global warming when fear replaces reason?

Kimmers - this is fantastic. I love the contrast in the colors, and I think the picture speaks volumes. I wish I could hear her thoughts though, those are her own secret, I suppose. smile Glad to see you post another photo. You're a whiz! Gun aka redheadgrrl

Wonderful, Kimarie, absolutely a super candid capture. I, too, see the old man as upper just left of center.
