Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

Wonderful portrait!

Beautiful work -- captures the look of an old photo from the 1920s or 1930s. Amazing work... Hope your new school year's going well!

Beautiful work, and one of the reasons I missed renderosity during my short, unexpected absence. It's great to come back to work like this. I love the classic photography feel of this, and the backlighting works wonderfully.

I just found this and was left without words. I don't know that I live up to your deeply moving words, but they and your love are truly moving and healing to me, and I know you mean every bit of them. You know what your friendship means to me, and you'll know many more times too, that you're a rare sister of the soul...And the photograph you chose is truly touching as well, it has an amazing mix of softness and gentle focus, dark and true light, those combinations you seek and manage as few do, and which you make look so natural. The mystics said that darkness (black light) is only light that we haven't fully penetrated; and your shadows are tinged in the subtlest red-grays. (They're beautiful.) You did me a service tonight that I needed greatly and didn't even know it, your 'carrying' me means the world. But then, that's what you do, so there shouldn't be any surprise. I woke up, moseyed on over to my computer, saw the ebot and thought, "hmm, now that's a great title!" but had no idea what it was for...thank you so much, it means the world to me. Much love from my heart (anahata) to yours as always, Mark
