Description
Me and my halibut-I outfished my brother today, caught this one (yep, it's legal and I got 4 very nice fillets from it!!). We were in his 22 foot boat, out about 6 miles off the Huntington Beach coast. It was foggy, but we still had a great time. I also caught a sand shark, which of course, went right back, and a couple of babies that I sent home to mama!!

I don't know looks like a bottom feeder to me. Look at it's eyes. Both on the same side. Better invite some lawyers over to eat it. Of course they will object that it's not a flounder.

Why don't people read the artists comment before posting theirs, I don't know what that grud is on about, I think he needs hanging behind the door. I do wish people like him would get a life. I hope it tasted as good as it looked Marilyn, I like a tastey bit of halibut myself now and again. I have never caught my own though, well done you, the cost of it now though I wish I could catch my own. Excellent capture, the fish and the photo. Bravo!!!!!

What a great catch!! I love flatfish, I try and buy one sometimes from David at Durley Chine, but you've got to be there when he gets in or they're gone in a flash!
