Description

I do have a bit of a thing about being under places most people usually don't go under. This is the Balboa Pier, last week sometime, a bright sunny day. I love the one blown out side and the water on the other. I still have almost a week here and am trying to figure out a way to store this weather and take it home with me. I don't think my brother in law will let me move in!!

Now you KNOW I love this image on many different levels! It's UNDER A BRIDGE! It's got GEOMETRY! It's got repetitive shapes and angles! And it's got way-cool colors and textures all over the place! It's a winner!

I love these kinds of shots as well, and this is definitely one of the best I've seen! Great sense of color and depth, and I love the play of light and shadow. Brilliantly vivid, brilliantly captured and most definitely one of my favorites.

It's not the University of Chicago bleachers but it'll do in a pinch. Singular events sometimes try to master ordinary interests. Your image has contemporay value in the lighting.

I like to walk under the piers as well Marilyn, although I have never taken a photograph whilst under one. I used to watch the guy's with metal detectors out early in the morning sweeping underneath the piers looking for money that had fallen through the cracks in the boardwalk above. People are always dropping coins, it's a fact of life. #;0) Excellent capture with great depth. Bravo!!!!!
