Description
Graphite on paper drawing from my little 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" sketchbook. (Yes, I can still do things the "old school" way.) Inspired by the hornets living on the outdoor shelter at the park where I drew it. Actual date of drawing is 09-16-2008.

The hard thing to do is the wings which are dynamic. They in that way are like clouds and shadows except faster. The final art is a summary of things remembered filtered for artistic consonance.
