Interesting swooping design. Like your POV. 1959 Chevy...remember these tail fins very well. Trouble was if you had an accident the bodyshop repair was very expensive. Looks like the license plates ran out some time ago. Lots of interesting detail here. Are those concrete TeePees back there? An old KOA campground maybe? Bill

Nice shot!

I missed it by one year. I had a '60 Impala and it was a sweet machine - with a few modifications. Loped at 40mph. :-) Excellent pov on this '59.

Here the fake vent over the rear light that was first seen on the 58 adds geegaw to the tailfins. I never really noticed it was still there before. Was it on the Bel-Air?

Whoa!!! I went for my licence in one of these and it was a standard. The fins sometimes were a bit rough if you ran by and hit it. Awesome car and image.

nice pov. i read somewhere that the designer who started the fin thing on cars was inspired by the Lockheed P38 Lightning. can't see it myself, but imho that man has a lot to answer for...

Beautiful shot. Loved those fins. The 1959 two door hardtop and the convertible were some of my favorite cars. This one looks like a sedan though. Those fins and the swept windshield-beautiful days gone bye...
