Description
A long-duration ship with a pair of cargo-transports approaches a distant star on the edge of a huge nebula. We know from Hubble and other observatories that these areas are rather dangerous for life, but the urge to study and explore usually wins out over the fear of danger.
The ships were modeled and rendered in Bryce 6, postworked in Photoshop CS3. Background was created entirely within Photoshop, this is not a Hubble photo (although I was certainly trying for that look) and compositing was also done in Photoshop.
