Great study of light and shadow.

Strong and deeply intriguing angle of shot. Pretty game of light and shadow.

A writer once wrote that cities have "in-between" times where everything seems dropped-in from another planet. This is one of those times. A mysterious in-between moment with a jaundiced hue, the back wall both impersonal and in reflection, and the foreground wall completely in silhouette. Cities allow such combinations, different worlds packed next to each other and forced to speak to each other; and they seem hand-made for sensitive photographers like yourself. Your treatment of the roof of the far building makes it look like there is no building, just a facade and the hint of a roof & sky...I live in the U.S. Midwest, and you get that sky right before tornadoes & thunderstorms: It's eerie. Quiet and foreboding and not quite settled, an agitating, strange & beautiful shot. Calls one back...

Beautiful Nikolay! I agree with anahata.c, I too have seen the skies with that eerie feel and tone, the difference being that its not at all frightening in this as it is in real life. I think many of your works fit the 'in-between' times as that description says. Hope you are well!

Thank heaven for one's archives filled with unused work! This is a wonderful study in contrasts that you have found to show us. The old against the modern, the dark against the light, the filled spaces against the empty sky. Wonderous

I love the light and shadow byplay here...there is an extreme measure of elegance to this image, brought out by its black and white nature...everything is so pared down, so "of itself" and it's quite amazing. I get the impression that this particular section of the city is interestingly layered as the building in silhouette looks a bit more "classical" than the more modern, lighter building behind. Great contrast there!
