Description

This is a new one for me. Never seen a Tree Cricket before yesterday. As I was shooting it, I thought it was some type of katydid, but the head looked odd for that. Figured it wasn't a grasshopper because of the long antennae. After my photo-session with it, I was still confused but excited to have captured a new insect for me. This one was about an inch long not counting the antennae. Thanks for looking all. -Bruce

Great shot. I saw one for the first time in early July and managed to get a couple of shots but none nearly as good as this one. BTW - I am also a big fan of BugGuide.com and use it quite often for bug identifications. Thanks for sharing. Lee
