Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great capture and postwork Marilyn! Did you mean to add "nudity & violence" block to it?

haha good post work mo! i was listening to Jethro Tull today, one of his songs im getting fancied with is Kelpie. It about the mythological creature in Scotland. It is part horse, part fishy. I guess it is bad, cuz it tries to get lonely passer byers to ride on it's back and then it swims down to the bottom, taking them with it. Good lyrics to the song. This reminded me of it. "Just some -kelp-" haha.

Until I met kelp, seaweed was a ropey rough plant. The grade school principal used to get it in big cardboard boxes prescribed by his chiropractor across the street.

Roflmao @ Denise, where is that girl coming from, Giant Sperm. #;0) It must be from a Sperm Whale do you think? I think it would be painful letting that out. Enough frivolity. Excellent capture Marilyn, I have ment to mention in others beach shots of yours, the sand, it has a great texture to it, and seems much coarser than our English beaches. It also semms a strange colour to me. Love the Kelp, it does look somewhat like a whip, more so than what Denise would have us believe. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! I'm going to be in stiches for most of today, thanks to Denise.

Darn, from the title I thought it would be a macro of the cream on top of a strawberry short cake. Anyway, great clarity, colors and textures depicted in this kapture of the kelp, Marilyn!

Here in the midwest, we're pretty "kelpless" I had no idea it looked like this. Cool shot : )
