Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Until you said it, I would have thought you were the younger sister... the twinkle in the eyes is shared by you both and the closeness is obvious. I'm the eldest in my family as well but I'm taking the longest to grow up. :-)

LOL, PJ, I'm also the oldest, and also taking the longest to grow up. Wouldn't change that for the world!!! There are 5 of us, Susie is the youngest; I helped raise her after my dad left when she was only 2. Amazing how life turns out!!

It's a two way thing is family love, it's nice to see it when it really is two way, and not just one. You can see it in the eyes, the love you have for each other. I'm the youngest of seven, four sisters two brothers and I have seen it both ways, believe me. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful to see you both, I really like this pic!

Fine reflective lighting in this superlative portrait of the dynamic duo, posing for the sake of posterity. Sorry, Marilyn, I see no resemblance at all. Your sister has well manicured fingernails, and, yes, your hair is brown.

You know, you might have been taller than Susie when you were kids ... but I think maybe she's taller now! An excellent portrait. Nicely done!
