Born 1941. Yeah, I know, that's old. Live in Rome. Was raised in Buenos Aires, and still feel that as home. Work as a consultant in GIS (Geographical Information Systems). My hobby, or maybe my real profession, is South American history. My wife is a very well known (in her specialized world ) Roman archeologist. Our son is 30 years old, but hasn't decided to grow up yet. Deals in politics. We travel, at least an important travel each year.

Interesting scene, excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was watching a documentary on Krakatoa a night or two ago and seeing the denial of villagers with no real education about things they had never seen before was very amazing to me. Even in those early days of vulcanology, scientists seemed to underestimate what power they were observing until it was too late. This is an amazing shot, especially after you pointed out what had occured during this eruption.
