I have been using RR for 5 years now and have had my eyes opened to the wonderful artistic talents of you all. I never realised there were so many visual art forms.I have always enjoyed taking photographs simply for my own pleasure and as a marker for events in my life.  I have bought a Nikon D40 DSLR & a Panasonic TZ6, I am very much an amateur. I need to go on a course to understand how to use a digital camera properly as I have real difficulties other than point and shoot.I will post my photographs and hope that some of you will find them pleasant but please remember I am a simple soul!Thank you to those of you who make comments, all are greatly appreciated.  I love looking at your galleries for inspiration. One member has recently used one of my shots from 2008 as a shot produced by him. Whilst I am an amateur, I take things like this seriously (2013) and have now managed to have it removed from his gallery and will do so if anyone else does the same. I wouldn't dream of copyright breaches so cannot understand why someone would do it to me. He has also now uploaded it on the site Art Wanted.com. Alas their moderators are not as responsible and helpful as those on this site. I have 2 exotic cats, Foggy and Boris. I adore my cats.  I am quite sure I will end up as a mad old spinster of a cat woman and do I mind? Nope.Thank you for your support

Great looking grand niece you have there Susan. I like your capture very much. Know how you feel...my daughter and her husband had their two identical twin boys baptised/christened in my church in August. They too are eight months old and surprise, surprise, they each have two bottom front teeth. These little ones are running neck and neck. May God bless them all. Bill

She has the look of a pleasant child Susan, my daughter Emma was the most pleasant kid I have ever known, always happy and smiling. She has changed quite a lot now though, mind you she is 21 now. Excellent capture, she could win a happy smile contest with a smile like this. Beautiful baby. Bravo!!!!!

A great, heart warming capture, Sue. Subject and POV, background detail good, but not overpwoering. These family occasions give us so many happy memories for the future, and baby gets so much attention too. I am sure that you are proud of the baby's parents, as well .. ;o) Don't you find that weans / kids are great at Christenings, especially the toddlers? At our church we had a christening on Saturday, a christening and a First Holy Communion on Sunday, and a Nuptial Blessing on Monday. Last week we had two christenings on the Sunday, and on the week before that, three! I don't know if they squeezed another in this mnorning, since I went off early, in the cold weather, to visit my 80 year old mother-in-law. Warm regards, on a gold sunny day, John.
