Description

Several people have mentioned the size of the ferns in my previous uploads of redwoods. Well, I just happened to have this one waiting in the wings. I assure you that Deb is a normal-sized person; these sword ferns really are five to six feet tall. I have two or three more shots from the redwoods, then we'll move on to something else. Thanks for the views and comments.

This is just amazing to me. I didn't know ferns could grow to be this large. This is a great shot!

It amazes me that the ferns grow so large too, I wonder what it is about that area that makes everything grow so tall ... Beautiful capture with the sun shining through the trees ...

Prehistoric is what it is. The land of the giants and still it is tucked away where it continues to grow to mammoth size. I don't know what is more fascinating...the trees or the ferns. Outstanding shot.

That's totally amazing. I have some big ferns here ... but they're about two and a half to three feet tall! Those are spectacular.

Dennis, I think you must be mistaken, Deb must surely be a pixie! I have grown Ostrich ferns before, but even those only came up to my waist. Incredible greenery :)
