He's made of light and exists in that place right between darkness and light, where sleep and awake share the same space, and past and present don't exist.

OH that is so surreal, the kind of thing one would see on an old 60s/70s black light poster or album cover. That really is an amazing effect, like quicksilver. The picture evokes a great many images and I love the position of the person. This is really good. Well done!
