Description
The pier at Huntington Beach is always a big surf spot. Surfers are VERY territorial and sometimes not very nice when someone else invades THEIR spot. What's really interesting about this particular spot is that the north side has LOTS more surfers and they're the rough bunch. I've had a couple of them make some rather crude remarks and gestures as I tried to take some shots. The people on the south side, however, seem happy, and there are far fewer of them. So here they are, my golden surfers, out for that very early morning ride. I loved hearing them as that great wave took em away "waaaaaaaahoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I had heard about surfers being very territorial. A friend of mine from Sydney, AU tells me the same thing occurs over there around the Bondi Beach area.
