Description
I've been keen to try a shot like this for a little while, using panning to freeze movement in a scene, and while in France thanks to having the use of my dad's image stabilized 28-300mm lens I was in a pretty decent position to try it. Although this guy was heading away from camera in this frame, the panning worked quite well and it also sidesteps the little issue of him being identifiable, as it was just some guy out on his bike unaware he was the subject of my experimentations =) The shot was taken in Beaucaire, France.

Excellent! It all worked out very well. The 28 - 300 it a heavy bit of kit. So you have done very well not to have any blur on the subject!

Great use of the panning technique mate, I tried this yaers ago and got really poor results, must try it some time.
