Description
Green is a very rare color for flowers in the cactus world.
Yes I know it's Oct 12th but the cactus doesn't know it.
This last summer was cooler than normal and we didn't have that many sunny warm days.
Thats why this Parodia is a late bloomer.

Late bloomer or not, this is a gorgeous capture. I don't often think of flowers as being green, so this image is quite illuminating to me. I love the details captured, and because I'm weird in numerous ways, I also like the similarities between this cactus and a microscopic Volvox colony...but that's just me. Great work here!

Frank, you've got to send me some seeds from this plant. Never have I seen green flowers on a cactus; as a matter of fact, green flowers are very rare anywhere else in the flora kingdom.
