Description

When I first posted this render back on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, I named it 'Bold Promise of a Small BLUE Planet'. It was one of three renders with a 'blue' theme in the name and subject matter. When I pullled this one out of my archives for future consideration, it just seemed a little too flat, hence the additon of the ethereal space gas clouds. I don't know that it makes the image any better, but I think it does add an air of mystery to the subject. I will leave it up to your imagination to come up with an explanation for this planet and it's cloudy cover. I'm sure a properly functioning Trekkie mind can come up with several possible scenarios! GREAT image! And I love the 'space gas', but come on, a 'properly functioning Trekkie mind'? Now THAT'S science fiction! LOL! You know this has to be some kind of test by the Old Ones (or the 'something' Ones), right? :-)

Hmm... perhaps an energy being creates a copy of the Enterprise and her crew and tries to destroy the originals and take their place in Starfleet in some nefarious plot to control the galaxy; only the copy isn't perfect, so Starfleet notices, and... uh... uhh... the being takes the form of a beautiful woman and Kirk sleeps with her to save the day. :-P Cool image in the style of the series. :-)

AeroJett, I just love your take on this one! That is a truly fabulous idea! I'm sure if the original series were still around, it would have fit right into the storyline!
