Description

Apollo: The son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis, Apollo was the god of music, where among his many attributes, he was especially skilled with the kithara, an advanced version of the common lyre, (harp). He directed the choir of the Muses. He was also the god of poetry, dance, and intellectual inquiry. The Pythian Games were held in Apollo's honor every four years at Delphi. The bay laurel plant was used in expiatory sacrifices and in making the crown of victory at these games. In art, Apollo is depicted as a handsome beardless young man, often with a kithara in his hand. Michael 3 character, rendered in poser 6. Some postwork in PS7.
