Is there anything better than being 16
You get your license to drive
That piece of plastic
That sets you free
Changes your life
There are only two things on your mind
Getting enough gas to go out
And sixteen year old girls
And you’re not really that worried about the gas
You will figure that part out some how
The music turned up way to loud
The windows rolled down
Even when it’s cold out
As you drag down the ave.
Forget about having sex
You are just tickled to death
If you can get a girl
To give you her phone number
You and your friends
Are kings of the world
For a hour or two
Slipping into your bed at 2 in the morning
Trying not to wake your parents
Thinking about the girl you talked to
You go ahead and finish the date by yourself
Then you roll over
And start dreaming about next weekend
There is nothing better
Than sweet 16

I remember when I was 16...don't laugh, I don't have altimerz yet...LOL....my boyfriend at the time was 17 and his name was Mike Johnson....gawd was he a hunk...did we ever do the wild thing, nope, not in the whole year I was his steady girlfriend but because of him, I'll always look back at "sweet 16" with a smile... beautiful poem my friend... kind of takes my mind off being sick too, I've got broncitis...sighs

A wonderful poem, Randy and I think I thought that way when I was 16, but than I wnated to be 18 and hoped that just after my birthday the police would control the Disco I always went to. They came after 10 pm to check if everyone was over 18 who were still in. Hah, how proud I would have been to show my passport!!LOL But they never came again!!! :o( Hugs Ute
