I'm retired, but so busy I haven't posted anything in a while. When do work, I mostly use Carrara 8.5 Pro and Daz Studio for composition and rendering, and Fireworks and Photoshop for postwork and textures. I'm more a storyteller than an artist: I like scenes that tell a story -- or strongly suggest one.
I live in Sacramento, California USA with my wife. Kids are grown and gone, so we volunteer at our church, and travel as much as time and wallet will allow!
I REALLY appreciate the many great artists here who have been SO wonderful with their encouragement and pointers. PLEASE comment or just say "Hi". I appreciate your words good or bad: It energizes me, grows me - and keeps me going.

I like the way that Misty is being carried - and also the tease that it isn't over yet!!

Hummmm.... so you leave us with a bit of a "cliffhanger" (sorry couldn't resist). The simple stark coloration should really grab the kids on this one.

Beautiful!!

Oh, another cliff hanger and another great picture. I can so see this in a children's book - one I'd gladly read to my first little grandson William. :-) Great, Larry, you're doing fantastically well.

Larry this is really a wonderful conclusion to the story of Misty, you really did great. I like the pov you selected to show the people looking on at her with her parents.

What a wonderful image and story! I do hope the adult dragons will be kind to the human folk that returned their baby safe and sound :)

Nice image, I like the way the people frame the image. If I was to make one small criticism, it would be that the mountains to pointy. Other than that, a fabulous image
johnny_damnit
Very nice Larry. I am glad Misty is going home. Great job on the poses.

Very nice image - what Neel said on the framing. I have to imagine it was a bit nerve wracking when the dragons swooped down.

I know the mountain texture is exaggerated. I decided to do this to emphasize to my young viewers the "forboding" nature of the dragon's mountain and castle, in a fairy-tale sense. Call it "artistic license" LOL! Of course this wouldn't be acceptable in more realistic renders...

Wonderful work, Larry. I love the whole concept.. And i think the Misty tale, and the way you have depicted it, is a great touch for childrens books.. Very sharp and pointy mountain tops... But a great render. This will make a lot of kids smile. And thats very important. A very nice ending on this fantastic tale.+5
