Description

During "Humanity's First Interstellar War" any ship capable of being armed likely ended up getting modified in an effort to curb the raiding of commerce. Here a second-generation "Nautilus-type 2" ship is test-firing lasers hastily added to help protect it. -------------- Ship was modeled and rendered in Bryce. The lasers were originally done as thin rods in Bryce, but I wasn't at all happy with the results, so I overlaid them when Postworking this in Photoshop. Planet and background were also done in Photoshop with the help of random-cloud filters, and a couple of photos of actual clouds. Thanks for taking a look, and comments/criticisms and suggestions are always welcome, it's how I get better at this.

The firing lasers and the rear thrusters really add a sense of motion and movement to this. Stellar cloud formations add much depth and your ship modeling is awesome work.

It's amazing to realize that Bryce lends itself to designing realistic terrains and landscapes as well as wonderful sci-fi scenes such as this particular one here where your modelling is absolutely fantastic, and of great beauty. It's top-notch Bryce work you've come up with here! 5+++
