Description

"We had arrived. A Long time traveling, finally nearing its end. We were just starting to think about what we'd be doing next, starting to feel the excitement we'd all felt at the start making a tentative grasp at capturing our imaginations. THIS is what we were waiting so long for, and we could finally see it in front of us. What we didn't know was that there were some who had their own ambitions for this same place, and they were going to try to take it from us before we'd even had it in our hands." -From the diary of Toren Delgado, recording the events of what is now commonly referred to as "The Shortest War". =========== This is intended to be the first in a series, so bear with me on it while I try to make time for my real passion: Space Opera. Ships were all modeled in Bryce 6, (and incidentally set in the same universe, and a short time after "Humanity's First Interstellar War") Background and planet were made in Photoshop, compositing and post work all in Photoshop as well. Superb scene! I love the narrative. The scene itself is wonderful, especially the drive flares and the whole engine configurations on the two flanking ships. GREAT TOUCHES. The planet and background are just as interesting, providing drama in and of themselves and not just acting as convenient backdrops. Like you, I have a passion for space opera, and I have to say that this is wonderfully refreshing and original.
