Description
Hot and dusty Brahman cattle being moved on a massive aussie stock property. I opted to stay in the 4WD to take the photos!

I don't blame you for staying inside, I wouldn't want all that dust on my camera either, I hope you kept the window closed and the air con on Sue. Excellent capture, I've always fancied doing a cattle drive, either on horse back or helicopter. I used to love watching the helicopter drives on Discovery chanel, they did one with wild camels in the Australian outback. I watched it about five years back, so it would most likely be in the 1990's sometime. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! Nice to see a post from you.

:-) My grandfather came to America from England at the turn of the 20th century to be a cowboy and drive cattle to market... seems stories of the old west lured him and the reality of the dirt, sweat and smell turned him into an insurance salesman...for life. Now that's saying a lot for cattle ranching I think. It takes a special sort to do it. I have been around brahmas before and they are interestingly very docile for the most part. And so very beautiful. So is your shot of them through the dust of their journey.

A drivers life is a hard life! So much dust and very hard work. A wonderful capture, and wisely taken from INSIDE the vehicle! Much safer for your camera! An awesome picture, it would be terrific painting, or enlarged into a poster!
