Description

This is for JeffG7BRJ: yes, ants are too fast and thus difficult to shoot. The alternative to shooting dead ants is shooting well fed ants! :) These ones seem to comment the meal they just had, which was a big drop of fruit juice.

Thank you very much for this dedication, and also for the idea of fruit juice, I have used sugar crystals in the past and managed to take some pictures like that. The extreme macro lens I use has to be carefully adjusted to get correct focus, the dof is very shallow and only flat surfaces come out fully focused. I might get the top of the head right but the jaw would be out, it does not perform well with contours. This is an excellent macro and the dof is superb, the ant in the bottom left is perfect. Outstanding work. Bravo!!!!!
